Get started without writing code

If you can edit your site's header HTML, you can install Motif. A marketing site does not need identify or custom events.

1. Copy the snippet from Motif

Sign in, open Websites, add your domain, and copy the tag Motif shows. It looks like this, with your real id in place of WEBSITE_ID:

2. Paste it on every public page

Put the tag in the document head or just before the closing body tag.
It must run on the first page a visitor hits, not only a thank-you page.
Save and publish. Most site builders have a Header / custom code box.

3. Confirm a pageview

Open your live site in a new tab, then return to Websites. Motif shows a live ping when an event arrived in the last five minutes. That is a pageview.

4. Connect Stripe

Still on Websites, connect the Stripe account that charges your customers. Motif reads checkout, invoices, refunds, and churn through Stripe Connect. The tracker never sends a payment amount.
